Notes

We wanted to get the boat completely ready for the Summer Cruise so decided putting into Conwy Marina was the best bet.  I had got 140+ bottle of beer ready to go on, as well a few other things.  And two 10 litre containers of red diesel were ready.  Rather than try and take that lot out on the dinghy, Llew elected to meet us in Conwy with a car load.  We also took this opportunity to visit the local tesco to stock up on food.

As we set off, we noted the wind was directly behind us and quite fearsome.  We managed on the foresail alone, which gave us 7 knots.  We used the Swatch, even though at HW we could have gone anywhere.

The sea was amusingly lively, giving us a bumpy ride:

The fairway buoy was quite difficult to see until we were right on top of it:

Peter enjoyed the rough stuff:

Once safely parked in the marina, we were desperate for some comfort food so headed straight for the Mulberry Pub, where 3 of us had Corned Beef Hash - brilliant!

After filling the boat with beer and food, we were contacted by Mick and Deb on Carmargue, and we arranged to meet up in the Conwy Cruising Club at 0800.  We spent a great evening, also in the company of Majoe.

The next day we awoke after a good long sleep to another brisk weather day.  This time, we had to contend with it on the nose, but it made for some good tacking.  We went through the swatch once again.  Once back on the mooring, we noted how calm everything had become:

This weather settled in for the day and it was a pleasant way to spend Sunday afternoon.
