Porth Wen

A trip to Porth Wen, and a staggering turn out for the club. The Trilogy cup was contested for.

Variable - sunny on saturday with hardly any wind, a nice SW breeze on Sunday

Most boats gave up racing on the way as the wind dropped to nothing. We were keen to get the barbeques lit.

When we arrived, Adela was there but promptly moved on as they said it was getting too busy. Another 10+ boats then turned up!

There seemed to be another group of Venturers there already, including Dansa.

This must have been a record for the club at a single anchorage:

The barbie was lit and we settled down to some chilling:

Porth Wen is quite interesting. Variuous theories were advanced about the Round Thing:

Obviously some alien artifact. After the usual refreshments, we headed back to our boats.

The next day was a great sailing day, we took some good pictures of Soay.
