Derek had lent us his Stilson to tighten our stern gland / prop shaft, so this was my first task. This proved a very simple job with a couple of small turns to cure the leak.
There wasn’t enough wind to sail at first, so we motor sailed up to Menai Bridge. We went through the Swellies late so were able to take the tide with us.

After this we did a bit of tacking and found the new foresail to be much better than the old one. The wind was very flukey and went from nothing to flattening us in short measure. We made good progress. Derek wanted to stop off at Port Dinas to drop Carol off, so we loitored around while he did this.
Halfway to Victoria Dock we were overtaken by She Fever with Derek and Carol Asquith on board.

Later that evening we went into the Royal Welsh Yacht Club and had a few drinks.
The journey back was uneventful!
