No particular jobs to do, so we took a lazy sail through the Swellies to Victoria Dock. We wanted to take advantage of the supermarket and water at the dock. Calling the harbour master, I got confused with him calling another boat Dream On. We were told to raft onto the other visitor boats. Harbour master did not check up on us - now trusts us to secure ourselves properly!
Llew wanted to leave the boat and go to the pub as soon as we arrived. We took our time and went for a drink in the Galleri - very pleasant. Llew then joined us, and we went off to Morrisons to get provisions. The evening was spent in the Royal Welsh Yacht Club. We met some interesting folks who had came down in a power boat with their family. And a chap who used to be crew on Hoylake lifeboat station. He apparently had some experience with building the Thames Marine Mirage 28.
The next day, we washed the boat down, filled the water tanks, and wired up the deck power fitting for the auto pilot that we had bought in Dickies the week before. We did quite a good job in the end - going from the deck straight to the fuse panel and onto the negative bar. Quite tricky deciding where to get the power from at first.
