I removed the prop and the cutter off Chinook at the weekend to remove the barnacle encrusting. We are looking to go to S Ireland this season, and fancy going straight from somewhere like Porth Dinllaen to Kilmore Quay. Any recommendations for what tide/time to leave? I would rather round Carnsore Point in daylight. Assume average boat speed of 4.5 / 5.5 knots. more>>

I'm changing Sarico's stern gland for a drip less type this winter, and whilst the prop shaft is off I will be changing the P bracket bearing. By the look of it I remove a grub screw and then drift the bearing out. However I'm worried about damaging the P bracket itself. Has anyone got any experi.. more>>
